You will need to provide either a copy of your student ID or send us an email from your student email address to confirm your student status.

We do indeed offer team discounts. You can purchase directly from the website by selecting the "teams" option on the pricing cards.

If you would like to obtain a price for large teams of 10 or more, send an email to team@certificates.dev with your requirements, and we will create the necessary quotation and invoices for corporate purchases.

After purchasing a team package, you will receive an email listing each team member's voucher code. Distribute those codes to colleagues, who will create an account and redeem their voucher to access the purchased product(s).

Yes. After payment, you'll receive a confirmation email with purchase details and the amount paid.

We recommend you read our preparation guides and learn the official Laravel Documentation, in combination with our Laravel Developer self-preparation study material. These are a series of chapters, quizzes and challenges that recap the relevant topics.

Every level has a preparation guide available that outlines what will be examined. Some self-study training chapters are available per certification level and will be improved and added to over time with additional challenges and practice questions (where offered).

A structured collection of study material, which can include practice questions, quizzes, and coding-oriented exercises aligned to the exam domains — designed to increase confidence before attempting the certification.

Yes, self-study preparation can be purchased as an add-on to an existing order (if offered for that level).

Yes, in some packages we offer a trial exam, this is to experience the type of questions and our exam software UX before taking the real exam and to find out if you are ready to take the Laravel Developer Certification Exam. The practice exam does not count as a certification exam.

Once you purchase a Bootcamp bundle, you can check your dashboard for bootcamp dates. The Bootcamp may consist of 3 days of active participation and training in a live, online workshop environment, led by a Laravel expert OR may be a prerecorded, async Bootcamp that you can work through in your own time, supported with live Q&A session with an expert.

Yes, bootcamps can be added to a previous purchase (if offered for that level).

Bootcamps run at scheduled times. You can register for a different scheduled session. If you cannot attend, notify support so we can remove you from the register and allow you to select a replacement session. Alternatively, we may have async, prerecorded bootcamps that you can work through in your own time, supported by live Q&A sessions with an expert.

Consult the Preparation Guide for the chosen level to confirm the curriculum and prerequisites. Beginners typically start with the Junior level depending on experience.

The exams are designed to be rigorous and practical — testing the knowledge and judgment required to use Laravel effectively in real-world development. Each level is progressively more difficult, with Artisan-Level being the most challenging exam, suitable for highly experienced and seasoned Laravel developers.

Each exam has a Preparation Guide detailing the full curriculum and technologies tested. Typical Laravel domains include (level dependent):

Routing, Controllers, Requests/Validation, Eloquent & Relationships, Migrations, Auth, Testing, Queues/Jobs, Events/Listeners, Caching, API patterns, Security fundamentals, Performance considerations, and application architecture.

Exams are typically a combination of knowledge-based multiple-choice questions and practical coding challenges.

• Junior-Level exam: MCQs only
• Mid-Level & Senior-Level exams: MCQ & coding challenges
• Artisan-Level exam: Coding challenges only

Yes, all examinations have a time limit which is specified in the preparation guides.

There is no limit to the number of retakes, but you must purchase a retake voucher for each additional attempt.

Yes, there will be an additional cost to retake an examination. Exam retake vouchers are available at a discounted rate.

Cheating results in disqualification of the attempt. Repeated cheating may lead to permanent account restrictions after repeated violations, with no exceptions.

Yes. A webcam is required to meet online proctoring requirements.

Currently, the certification program is only available in English.

You can take the exam online at any time that is most convenient for you; however, you will be required to provide identifying information and cannot leave the tab during the exam.

The exam is based on Laravel 12 and will be updated in line with any Laravel updates over time.

If you fail the exam, you'll have the opportunity to use a retake. All bundles that include training come with retake vouchers or they can be purchased separately.

There are 2 main reasons for failing the exam.

• A candidate can fail the exam if the proctor review determines that the rules of the examination were not followed. This can include talking to others during the exam or the webcam becoming unavailable during the examination process. Should a proctor review fail we perform an investigation with the candidate to determine what behavior we take.
• Exams can be failed as a result of an insufficient score. Scores are calculated by measuring the amount of correct answers against the amount of incorrect answers. You need to have a minimum of 70%. Correct and incorrect answers will not be shared. This is part of an industry-standard policy for maintaining the integrity of the exam.

No, the additional self-study training and Bootcamps are completely optional. There are many ways to prepare for the examination, including reading the Laravel documentation, taking online courses, and building hands-on projects, either in your personal capacity or at work.

The Artisan-Level exam is the only level that first requires you to pass the Senior-Level exam. Junior, Mid-Level and Senior-Level exams can be taken at your own discretion if you are ready for the level.
